Chiara Hölzl – upward trend at the home World Cup in Hinzenbach

Last weekend, the ladies ski jumpers were able to prove their skills three times in Hinzenbach / Upper Austria and compete in the Energie-AG ski jumping arena from Friday to Sunday. For Chiara Hölzl, the path from the home World Cup in Ramsau to the home World Cup in Hinzenbach was a very important one, but not an easy one either. Having lost the feeling and the rhythm in Ramsau a little, Chiara was back in Hinzenbach with more fun and a clear head.

Both physically and mentally in a fresh, focused and good shape, Chiara went to the hill in Hinzenbach. With almost spring-like temperatures, Chiara started with a 13th place into this “Hinzenbach triple”. It was not yet the desired ease with Chiara, but individual jumps gave the Salzburg native a positive feeling. What followed were places 24 and 9 on the upcoming days of competition. “The best came at the end” for Chiara Hölzl and so she travels to the World Cup in Rasnov, Romania with a top 10 place after a short World Cup break.

Looking back, Chiara can again take some important knowledge from this weekend, one or the other cool jump and hopefully a little momentum to Romania and then to the Nordic World Ski Championships in neighbouring Oberstdorf.
