JumpandReach family at the Austrian nationals in Tschagguns (Vorarlberg)

With the Austrian nationals once again a competition between all Austrian ski jumpers and Nordic combined athletes was on the schedule. This time, the JumpandReach family around Stefan Kraft, Michi Hayböck, Chiara Hölzl and Co. travelled to the beautiful region of Montafon, more exactly to Tschagguns, for the Austrian nationals on the normal.

At changing, not easy conditions, especially the experienced athletes could cope best with temperature, changing wind and the ice track in Tschagguns.

Michi Hayböck successfully defended his triumph from last year and again took the gold medal for Austrian champion on the normal hill. His roommate Stefan Kraft narrowly missed the podium and landed on the 5th place. Chiara Hölzl showed to courageous jumps and could celebrate, right behind local hero Eva Pinkelnig, the silver medal.

At the Nordic combined competition Johannes Lamparter, Dominik Terzer and Christian Deuschl fought for important meters on the hill and on the roller-slope. At the end, the “JaRmNordic Squad” left Tschagguns with the places 11, 12 and 18.

The day after, the planned competition on the big hill in Innsbruck on the famous Bergisel had to be cancelled due to heavy winds.

With that decision, the event in Tschagguns was the only one at the nationals this year and the JumpandReach family is really looking forward to the upcoming winter season now.
