The JumpandReach family at the Wings For Life World Run 2020
„Running for those, who can’t.” This was again the slogan for the Wings For Life World Run, at which once more, many thousand runners spread across the world were running for the good cause. Approximately 78.000 people were part of the event this year. The only difference: Because of the Coronavirus, everyone had to run on his or her own – but thanks to the Wings For Life App – somehow also all together.
Right in the middle of this running event with the “virtual catcher car” was also the whole JumpandReach family. Headed by JumpandReach founder and systemic Coach Patrick Murnig – Stefan Kraft, Michi Hayböck, Chiara Hölzl, Johannes Lamparter, Christian Deuschl, Dominik Terzer, Benni Pranter and Marco Pichlmayer were running their kilometres for the good cause alone, but somehow also connected. Always connected via the internal WhatsApp Group and the Wings For Life App, the JumpandReach family was on its way quite fast, but neither the heavy legs nor the following catcher car could end their good mood.
Patrick Murnig: „It was really cool that we were running altogether. Even though everyone was “alone“ on its own, we were connected with the support of technical devices. We had the feeling of running together as the JumpandReach family for the good cause.”
Stefan Kraft: „Even though we were on our ways alone and running our kilometres, it really motivated me, that in the exact same moment many people around the world were running to do something good. Then the running goes automatically easier. The calves were already a little sore spot, but with the right motivation behind me even I could run some kilometres. There were some people on the road, and everyone was at it with fun and passion – it was really fun.”
