Top results for Johannes Lamparter at the home World Cup in Ramsau

Of course, the home World Cup in Ramsau also had to take place without a spectator, but the local Nordic Combined athletes around Johannes Lamparter were “inspired” by the home advantage and the atmosphere in Ramsau.

When the weather was great, Johannes Lamparter & Co. was concerned with important meters on the hill and important seconds on the cross-country ski run. After the dream start in Ruka – with his first podium in the World Cup – Johannes showed himself from his best side and already proved his form in the jumping. Landed in the middle of the best jumpers field, “Jo” started the 10 kilometres on the xc ski track. The competition around Johannes was peppered with world-class athletes such as Jarl Magnus Riiber, Vinzenz Geiger, Luki Greiderer, Eric Frenzel & Co. to name just a few and the “snow leopard” really found himself in the “shark tank” over these 10 kilometres.

Johannes worked a lot on the track and achieved a top performance and in the end he was more than happy with the 4th place – even if one eye might have looked towards the podium during the run;)

The next day it continued in a similar way. Johannes again showed a great jump in Ramsau and once again laid the foundation for an exciting race. On this day, the “top group” of Nordic Combined athletes found themselves tightly packed again and there were 10 tough kilometres waiting on the track again. Johannes did a lot of leadership work that day and set the pace. At the end of a great performance, Johannes had to give way to the more experienced athletes, had to pay a little tribute to the high speed but was then happy again with a 5th place.

After places 2, 6, 4, 4 and 5 (!) at the first two competition weekends, Johannes moves into the Christmas break before the World Cup in Val di Fiemme continues in mid-January.
