Johannes Lamparter shows strength – successful performance at the Nordic Combined Triple

This year’s highlight of the Nordic combined season took place on the first weekend of February: the Nordic Combined Triple in Seefeld. Johannes Lamparter’s start was not finalised until the last minute due to the mental and physical challenges that had to be overcome.

Together with his companion and strategic coach Patrick Murnig, Johannes had to continue to work on a clear concept day by day and decide on the next steps depending on the situation.

This motivated him for the first day of the competition on Friday. With his third place, Johannes showed another extremely strong performance in front of his home crowd – after a difficult two weeks in the run-up to the competition.

At home in his “living room” in Seefeld, friends, family and fan club were once again on site and created an incredible atmosphere.

“Fin & Claw” also brought a lot of “good vibes” to the course and watched another strong jumping and running performance on Saturday in a fantastic mountain setting and bright sunshine, which rewarded Johannes with 5th place.

Due to strong gusts of wind, no ski jumping could take place on Sunday and the PCR results were counted. Despite the deep snow conditions on the cross-country track, Jo put in an impressive, hard-fought race and battled for the top places. In the end, the almost unbeatable Norwegian duo of Jarl Magnus Riiber and Joergen Grabak remained in front and Johannes finished the “triple” in 4th place, behind Stefan Rettenegger.

A challenging weekend came to an end for the JumpandReach family, proud of their cool placings. Now they are looking ahead to the next challenges.
