JumpandReach family at the Sporthilfe Gala 2023

On October 12th it was time again to “dress up” for the annual highlight of the Austrian sports scene. The best athletes of the year were honored in the course of the glamorous Gala of the Austrian Sporthilfe in the Wiener Stadthalle!

The JumpandReach family with Overall Worldcup winner Johannes Lamparter and Skiflying Worldcup winner Stefan Kraft and their strategic coach Patrick Murnig were happy to share the JumpandReach Spirit table with long-time friends like ÖFB boss a.D. Leo Windtner, Breitling General Manager Birgit Linhart-Kaser, team doctor of the ÖSV Dr. Thomas Gstrein and editor-in-chief of the Tyrolean Kronenzeitung Claus Meinert.

After Stefan and Johannes traveled directly from the Austrian Championships in Bischofshofen and arrived a little late, the media hype at the “Golden Carpet” was more intense. The journalists were waiting for the two Nordic stars and conducted countless interviews.

The newly crowned national champion Lamparter was nominated as “Sportsman of the Year” – a great honor which shows that his achievements in the Nordic combined as well as his authentic and genuine appearance do not go unseen.

Stefan Kraft was ceremoniously inducted into the “Street of Winners”. A wonderful recognition that shows his status as an Austrian sports star. With his hand and footprints he immortalized himself and as a “legend” he will probably continue to be a role model for many, both athletically and humanly.

At the JumpandReach Spirit table a fun evening developed, which was made special by all the friendly encounters with athletes and partners from Austrian sports.

At the following afterparty, there was once again the opportunity to celebrate the many successes of the past season and to do this together with other top Austrian athletes.

Johannes Lamparter: “To see that I have generated so much enthusiasm in Austria with my successes and am thus one of the three best athletes of the year (all three Tyroleans) makes me happy and also proud. Congratulations to Felix Gall, who won the Sportsman of the Year award.”

Stefan Kraft: “It is a huge honor to be included in the street of winners alongside so many great sports personalities and legends.”
