Triumph and emotion: The 72nd Four Hills Tournament inspires

Full stadiums and an incredible atmosphere, home victory and a longed-for podium finish, international community and cheering fans: this year’s Four Hills Tournament at the traditional competition venues of Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen was once again a great pleasure for everyone involved. The atmosphere in the stadiums was incredible and millions of people again watched the “masters of the air” on TV.

From the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf, “Michi & Krafti” were tasked with implementing the concepts they had worked out with their strategic partner Patrick Murnig – to show consistently good jumps, continue the season’s development and establish themselves at the top.

The sporting development over the tour was characterised by great importance and emotional moments for friends and room mates Stefan Kraft and Michael Hayböck. The JumpandReach family and mascot “Fin & Claw” with Michi were delighted with a third place in the sold-out Bergisel stadium in Innsbruck! A podium “at home” in front of thousands of fans – simply wonderful!

Krafti also fulfilled his long-standing dream of winning at home at the last stop of the “flying spectacle” in Bischofshofen. In front of his wife Marisa, family, friends and the JumpandReach family, he celebrated his first place in the snow flurries. An unforgettable day for everyone!

Congratulations to Ryoyu Kobayashi from Japan on his overall victory, followed by Andreas Wellinger from Germany.

At the end of this 72nd Four Hills Tournament, Michi and Stefan have made great progress and achieved great successes. Their third and sixth places in the overall rankings underline their strength and consistency, which they are aiming for in a continuous development process with their strategic partner Patrick Murnig.

The ski jumping circus is now travelling on to another highlight of the season: the domestic Ski Flying World Championships at Kulm.
